Mrs. Mahalakshmi (29) W/o Selvaraju, is a widow, completely isolated from her relations and community. She has 2 young children. She did not have any skills. Poverty, hunger and sexual exploitation was a tragedy of life for her and her children.

ROSI Foundation trained her in Tailoring and Garments making. She was enrolled as a member in a SHG for victimized women. Counseling in legal and gender matters and motivation on human rights, health and IGP were given to her.

She is now confident of being able to earn a living and is aware of her legal rights. All 5 women who have been provided with sewing machines and raw materials supports so far, they are earning from tailoring works / garments production and gaining independence. Their exploitation, isolation and poverty have reduced. A life of dignity is now theirs.
