Sanha 17 yrs old girl was very upset when she came to our hospital with her ear problem She complained of profuse right ear discharge since 3 years. Sanha 17 yrs old girl was very upset when she came to our hospital with her ear problem She complained of profuse right ear discharge since 3 years. She was facing tremendous difficulties in her day-to-day activities due to her leaking ears, continuous pain and reduced hearing abilities. She has 3 siblings; her mother being the sole earner of the family, as her father died many years ago, was finding it hard to make the two ends meet. Therefore her problem was being neglected as they had no means to go to a doctor. One day someone in their neighborhood informed them about our hospital and they approached us for help.

In October 2008, she underwent tympanoplasty surgery of the right ear; she stayed overnight at the hospital for 2 days, which included physical examination on one day, surgery on the next day and finally follow-up before she was discharged after change of bandage next day.

When she came for a follow-up, she was a happy person, as her hearing had improved and the pain had gone. She has visited many times for her check-ups and is doing fine and attending a vocational training course.
