Success Story

Grandhi Bhavani is 9th class student of Yendada Government School for Visually Challenged girl children Grandhi Bhavani is 9th class student of Yendada Government School for Visually Challenged girl children. Her mother died of heart attack and her father has married another woman. Her step mother does not like Bhavani and as a result she has to stay with her grandmother who is unable to afford her basic needs. She is very good in studies and her ambition is to become a government civil servant. Bhavani is also a very good singer and was selected for the ETVs Black singing talent show and has reached finals of the event. However because of lack of support from home she is unable to afford basic education material or sanitary needs.

Kidpower India is working with Yendada Government School for Visually Challenged girl children. We provided Bhavani with education material and some basic items. We have realized the need for computer education and have started computer training.

Bhavani is very happy with the support and now she has her own education material. Previously she had problem getting sanitary napkins or being able to travel to home, now she is able to afford it. She also enjoys her computer classes. They also have a support staff to help them.
