Based on the assessment, proper planning for need based training for the child can be done. This ensures holistic development of the child in terms of health, communication, education and socialisation.

11 years old Amit was identified through a Community Based Rehabilitation programme near Varanasi. Initially his progress was very slow. He would simply lie down on the floor and not respond to anybody. Inorder to cater to his specific needs, a detailed medical assessment was done. Based on the assessment, a comprehensive training plan was worked out for Amit.

After receiving training for almost a year, Amit now responds to people and can even sit all by himself without anybody’s support. His teachers and parents are hopeful that with continued training, he will learn to communicate and lead an active life.
