Gayathri first came to Samveda when she was nine years old( grade IV) with a complaint that she was not doing well in school and was failing in all tests. Our assessed her, and found that she was having severe reading and writing problems. We advised the parents to put her on remedial training –Samveda model. Her parents however, decided to send her to the regular school and did not heed to our advice. Due to her severe learning problems the school in which she was studying sent her packing as she could not qualify for the IX grade. Gayathri and her parents then returned to Samveda and she was reassessed and was found to be atleast four years behind her grade level.
