Gita, 25, was married at the age of 18. Gita, 25, was married at the age of 18. Her husband did not like her and so divorced her within a year. She returned to her natal home but the shock of the neglect by her husband and marital family persisted. She lost her health and reverted to bed wetting.

Gita was initially treated for her malnourishment. It was explained to her mother that Gita needed nourishment. She did not have wherewithal to provide for anything more than normal sustenance. So she was helped to get milk and seasonal fruits for Gita. Gita was then also looked after by the psychiatrist. The psychologist and the counselor helped.

Gita has improved a lot and has regained control over herself.
