Success Story

People in general are not aware of kidney disease. People in general are not aware of kidney disease. TANKER felt the need to create awareness in schools and colleges and public forums so that more people may know about the disease and the need for prevention. In particular we have been concentrating on Corporation schools in Chennai.

We had power point presentations done by Mrs.Rajalakshmi Ravi our Advisory member at Corporation High School G R Nagar,Chennai on 10th July 2009 .She also had a question answer session after the programme to clarify several doubts. Leaflets were also distributed.

These programmes have definitely benefited the public especially because the risk of kidney failure for diabetic and hypertension people has been highlighted. We have been approached regularly to do continuous programmes.
