Success Story

Prabhakar developed renal failure at the age of 16 when he was in school. Prabhakar developed renal failure at the age of 16 when he was in school. He also suffers from a bone disorder problem and has had to spend Rs.75000/- towards an operation for this purpose. His father owns a welding shop at Choolaimedu and earns a meagre amount of Rs.7, 000/- per month. His younger brother 14 year old Sudhakar has been diagnosed as a renal failure patient.

TANKER contributed towards the bone disorder surgery and took him into our subsidised dialysis unit in Kilpauk in 2008.

He is on dialysis twice a week at Tanker. With generous contributions from donors including GIVE he is able to have at least 4 free dialysis every month. This has reduced the financial burden on the family greatly.
