Success Story

Eswari is a poor girl residing in a small village in Madurai East Block in Tamilnadu Eswari is a poor girl residing in a small village in Madurai East Block in Madurai District of Tamil Nadu. She is a first generation learner and her parents are ignorant about the value of educating their child. The illiterate parents are struggling to earn for their living. The child is under fed and her poor health her learning process. Unhygienic surroundings aggravate her sickness. The family had food devoid of any nutritional content.

CCI We Care Trust visited her family in 2006 December and observed the appalling condition of this family and spoke about the importance of educating their child and the benefits of their health and hygiene. We arranged health check up and started evening coaching centre in the village itself. We provided school gears (Note books, writing materials, now stitching dress) and nutritional education for the girl. We arrange awareness program instilling importance of educating parents of healthy surrounding.

Family of Easwari now encourages sending their child to school and evening coaching centre. Provision of school gears relieved the burden of their poor resources. The health of the child has improved. The learning is made a joyous activity. Periodic awareness programs have taught the community to keep their surroundings clean which has ultimately enhanced herconfidence and self esteem.
