NULL Being a Deafblind child, Kanmani could neither see nor hear anything on this earth. She did not know how to move in search of anything. She could not express her feelings. Under such terrible conditions, Kanmani was living her life, when she was identified by a field worker of Sense International (India).

The field worker provided her with need-based guidance and support. Kanmani started responding. The trainer tried to identify her needs and train her in skills necessary for her to carry out her day-to-day tasks with ease.

Today, Kanmani has picked up daily living skills, mobility and communication skills. This happens because of strong commitment of her parents, family members and community members, which in turn is the result of education and guidance received from the professionals.
