Success Story

The women belonging to lower strata of village Safepur, Kako in Bihar are very poor The women belonging to lower strata of village Safepur, Kako in Bihar are very poor and dependant on their male counter parts to satisfy their petty needs. They are unorganized, having very low literacy rat, also deprived of participation in decision making process.

Our workers contacted those women and motivated them for group formation and saving little amount at regular intervals. The effort of Abhiyan resulted in the formation of a strong group of women. All the 15 Group members were been imparted skill development training in food processing & candle making.

Now, the members of SHGs have collectively started to make Papad, Badiyan, sattu etc. and selling those items to Kako and Jehanabad towns. They are now able to earn at least. 700 per month in addition to their earnings from labour. They have started sending their wards to school, giving good food and clothing. Gradually their life style is changing and feeling self-confident and self-dependant.
