This 19 year old resident of Alavandi village was determined to realize his dream of a good education. After successfully completing his Class X and subsequently Class XII despite great physical hardships, he was overjoyed yet disappointed when he was selected for the BEd. programme in Koppal town. Life in the town would pose a far greater challenge.

The first task for SAMUHA was to provide physiotherapy and counseling so that Andappa would not develop secondary problems by improper positioning. Subsequently, a tricycle was manufactured at the disability workshop and provided to him.

Andappa is happy with his improved mobility and is able to concentrate on his course uninterrupted. He has also attained a greater amount of independency in his daily activities.
