Success Story

School children of Kako Block, Jehanabad were not aware of environmental importance School children of Kako Block, Jehanabad were not aware of environmental importance, conservation, protection etc. No such programme was organised in the schools.

Abhiyan took this matter seriously. We visited local school i.e. High School, Kako, Jehanabad and contacted Headmaster, discussed the need for awareness creation. Conducted awareness camps in the schools and informed and educated the children on importance of children, tree plantation and subsequent care, Solid waste management, cleanliness of water sources etc.

Now, the awareness level of students towards environment improved. The students of school covered have under tree plantation drive in the school premises and their respective villages. By seeing this the parents of the students too have started planting trees in vacant space, road side etc. This is ultimately promoting environment.
