Success Story

Mallika (28) is from a nomadic tribe community. Mallika (28) is from a nomadic tribe community. She was unable to contribute to the well being of her family and was pushed into the sex trade. Exploited and humiliated she had reached a state of desperation.

ROSI Foundation trained her in Ornamental items (Jewels) weaving work. She was enrolled as a member in a SHG for deprived women. Counseling in legal and gender matters and motivation on human rights, health and IGP were given to her. She has been trained in Jewels (not gold) making works and provided input for the business.

She is now confident of being able to earn a living and is aware of her legal rights. She is earning from weaving and selling the products and gaining independence. Her exploitation, abuse and poverty have reduced. She now leads her life with dignity and respect
