Success Story

Sarvoday is a primary school situated in a small interior rural village of North Gujarat Sarvoday is a primary school situated in a small interior rural village of North Gujarat. 250 students have study here. The teachers and students were ignorant about water borne diseases. Most of the students were suffering from diseases present in impure drinking water

LSVT visited Sarvoday and checked the students. As a result it found that the students were suffering from water borne diseases. Then we tested water impurity and found that there were many bacterial elements and fluoride in the water. After a week LSVT held a work shop in a school by a health expert to give students and teachers knowledge about diseases caused from impure water and the benefits of safe drinking water. LSVT fitted an R.O. plant in the school on January 2008. The R.O. Plant filters 50 litres water in an hour

Now Sarvoday provides safe drinking water to the children. As a result there is an improvement in their health and diseases that spread because of impure water are in check. The plant is maintained and cleaned properly by the school itself. Sarvoday has been spreading information about safe drinking water and the villagers drink boiled water at home. The villagers became aware of diseases caused from impure water
