Success Story

Sharmilaben Jayeshbhai Naika lives in Budhleshwar, a village located in the Surat district. Sharmilaben Jayeshbhai Naika lives in Budhleshwar, a village located in the Surat district, about 50 km from the organisation. Her husband is a farm labour and earn around Rs70 to 80 per day from his hard work. Sharmilaben has been suffering from severe Anemia and breathlessness since one week. She came to Kharel at our hospital on July 24, 2009 for her check up.

After the blood investigation was done in our laboratory, Sharmilaben was found to be having haemoglobin level of only 3.4 gm%. Hence, she was advised for an immediate blood transfusion. Sharmilaben was admitted to the hospital on same day for further investigation and blood transfusion. However, seeing her family conditions, we could not expect her husband to get the blood. Thus, one unit of blood was given to her with the support given by one donor,

When Sharmilaben was discharged on July 27, 2009, her haemoglobin level has reached to 7.1 gm%. She has been advised to continue with her treatment at home and come for regular follow-up for 3 months. She was quite glad on getting treatment with the support and we indeed thank the kind donor for extending the support.
