Success Story

Chengaiah is working in a Municipality, since five years. Chengaiah is working in a Municipality, since five years. He has lost his right leg due to septic foot. He developed blurred vision in his both eyes last year. He came to know that Pammal Sankara Eye Hospital is organizing free eye screening camps on third Wednesday of every month at Sri Paduka Mandapam, Sri Ramakrishna Mutt Road, Thirupathi. He attended the camp on 16.06.2010 & after examination he was selected for surgery.

He was brought to the base hospital on 16.06.2010 and admitted on the same day. He underwent the general health checkup & physical fitness. The cataract surgery with IOL was performed on 17.06.2010. He was provided with medicines, accommodation, food & nursing care during his stay, all absolutely free of cost. He was discharged the next day with good post-op vision and dropped back home.

The restoration of sight brought a huge change in his life. He says that he is now able to carry out his daily activities with ease. The post-op evaluation was carried out at his door step on 25.06.2010. He was so happy and said "I can never forget your hospital and your work. Your hospital and doctors have restored my lost visiton and given new life to see a wonderful world. Now, I am independent". He has started his daily chores with passion and happiness.
