Success Story

he vocational training center would be the first of its kind in Dahod and Panchmahal district The vocational training center would be the first of its kind in Dahod and Panchmahal district. People with disabilities who are older than 18 years need training or work to earn their livelihood. This vocational training shall not only impart training but also provide an opportunity to work in this center itself and also help them to get self employed. Most of the persons with loco motor disabilities are forced to do very little or no work at their own farms (if they have one) because they do not get any work of their abilities outside. Thus a vocational training center in this area is needed badly.

We are planning to train about 100 persons with disabilities for several trades in this vocational training center, like computer operating, printing, file making, chalk, candle making and many others

Work has already begun on the hostel and other buildings. The Organisation is raising funds for the construction of the Vocational Training Centre. We hope to have the Centre operational by January 2011, and if we get a high amount from any single donor we can speed up the work of construction and the center could be operational by July 2010
