Success Story

The child was under nourished when she came to Sevalaya. Vijayalakshmi lost her parents one after the other in a span of few months. Her parents were daily wages labourers. She was brought to Sevalaya in 2007 when she was 4 years old by her uncle who could not maintain the child as he himself was in dire poverty. The child was under nourished when she came to Sevalaya.

Sevalaya provided shelter to the child in the Children’s Home. All her basic needs of food, clothing were taken care of. She was sent to the Balwadi class (Pre KG) run by Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School.

Now, Vijayalakshmi is a happy child , studying in I Std.. She is cheerful and looks healthy and contented.
