Success Story

A 35 years old married lady having husband and two children was suffering from T.B. and anemia. A 35 years old married lady having husband and two children was suffering from T.B. and anemia. Her health was very poor. Her weight was 30 kg and H.B. was 6 gm%. Being hardly literate she neither had the knowledge about the disease nor the medicines required for its cure. Acute poverty contributed to the neglect of her health. She could neither afford medicines nor nutritious food.

Her weight was checked every month. She was educated regarding importance of nutritious food, hygiene and cleanliness, precautions to be taken to prevent spread of the disease. She was given supportive nutrients as well as necessary medicines continuously for a year and her progress was monitored. Her family members were screened for T.B. and were educated in this respect

On the basis doctor s advice nutritional supplements were continued for another six months. When she showed good improvement, and started taking care of herself. The supportive nutrition was discontinued on doctor s advice. She is now on the road to recovery. Her weight is 42 kg and H.B. is 11.5 gm%. She is now able to lead a better life.
