Chaitrali was admitted to TARA (earlier known as Preetanjali) in a badly injured and very poor health condition as a result of an attempt to kill her. She was left in the wilderness to die. She was found in a village close to Pune under dry leaves in a farm. Her left side was completely paralyzed due to a head injury. She was brought to Sassoon Hospital for emergency care

| Upon admission to TARA, and due medical examinations / investigations, her wounds were treated. She was given physiotherapy, oil massage and play therapy. Nutritious food supplements were also provided. Loving and affectionate care helped her improve dramatically. Now she is able to talk, walk and even run. She is now even toilet trained. She has now developed into an almost normal individual. |

| Due to her improved condition 5 year old Chaitrali now lives in Shreevatsa Child Care center and attends Sahjeevan School for slightly slow learners and is doing well. She can identify animals, birds, fruits & colors. Her speech is clear. Her left side is slightly weak but overall she can manage well. |
