All is well that ends well
This is a case of Sushma who is 18 years old who was referred to us by Vanitha Sahayavani. She was orphaned at a very young age and was brought up by the lady of house where her mother worked. Three years back she was brought to Bangalore and left at that lady’s daughter house as the old lady was unable to look after her. She used to do all the work and found the load too heavy for her. She was ultimately brought to Vanitha Sahayavani who referred her to us.
We provided her with shelter and looked after all her basic needs. Since she has no educational background, we trained her in cookery, embroidery, tailoring. She lived with us for four months. In the meanwhile we got a proposal from Mr. Vinay Kumar, a Team leader in a software company, he too was an orphan and was looking for a life partner. He agreed to marry Sushma, our senior counselor collected all the requisite data regarding the family, background and profession. Once satisfied, she discussed it with the President and committee members. On 18th September 2015 we got her engaged to Mr. Vinay Kumar and on 25th October 2015 we got her married at Durgaparameshwari temple in Vidyaranyapura. All the members voluntarily contributed generously to the marriage.
Today she is happily married and settled in life. She is living in two-bedroom house in Tavarekere. Every month both husband and wife visit us, we too make periodic calls to enquire about her welfare. He is also trying to educate her. All is well that ends well.
