Success Story

Fareen father is a labourer who has to manage his family of 3 children on an income of Rs. 5000 Fareen father is a labourer who has to manage his family of 3 children on an income of Rs. 5000. He has been suffering from paralysis. The stroke on the right side of this body has made both his right hand and right leg totally inert. He was not able to provide well for his family and Fareen had to drop out of school to help in generating some income.

Akshara opened a centre for out of school children near where Fareen lives. The volunteer convinced her parents to send her to the centre. After conducting a baseline test, it was confirmed that Fareen could neither read nor write anything.

After seven months of attending the centre, Fareen has learnt to read words and recognise numbers. She is very happy attending the centre and the volunteer is very confident that Fareen will continue to learn in leaps and bounds.
