Success Story

Khushboo needs school buses/vans for its children, who all are with varying degrees of disabilities - Khushboo needs school buses/vans for its children, who all are with varying degrees of disabilities - mental & multiple, and who require a dedicated transport system for daily commuting from homes. The public transport system is neither adequate, nor sensitive enough for those with disabilities.

To augment the 2 available vehicles, two more Maruti Vans were purchased, in February-2009 by raising 2 Bank-loans of Rs 2,40,000 each, as this vital acquisition could not wait indefinitely for collection of the entire cost through donations. The EMI for each loan is Rs 4661/month payable over 6 years. Thus assistance for the 116 EMIs payable after Apr 2010 is needed

The 2 new vans were vital for upgrading our operations, quantitatively and also qualitatively. These also afford reduction in time to commute and easier movement in the congested parts of the city. We expect that the burden of repayment of the Bank loan would progressively reduce from the benevolent contributions/donations through this appeal.
