Success Story

Anshu is a 14 year old girl with mental disability and behavioral problems, from a low income family. Anshu is a 14 year old girl with mental disability and behavioral problems, from a low income family. She was deprived of professional care, special education and therapeutic services at Khushboo centre, since her father was unable to bear the expenses for her daily commuting. Nor was it possible for her to use public transport, because of her disabilities.

Our counselors persuaded her father to admit her in the center in Oct 2009, with provision of school-bus service free of charge as a deserving case. She is now receiving various specialized services of special education and behavior modification, which were essential to develop her learning abilities, which would not have been possible without use of school bus service of Khushboo.

She is now able to follow the instructions given by trainers and others and is ready to learn new skills, because of behavior therapy. She is a confident and cheerful girl. She works in the kitchen and other places with other children cooperatively, and also helps her mother at home in household chores. She can write her name also. Free school-bus has played a big role in her achievement.
