V.Kosalai, is 40 year old woman. Her husband is old and he cannot go for regular work. V.Kosalai, is 40 year old woman. Her husband is old and he cannot go for regular work. They have no children but she adopted a child and takes care of him. She belongs to a local women SHG (Self Help Group) called Roja Mahalir Sangam. She struggles to manage her family, health and educational needs of her adopted child, Occasionally she gets coolie work which is not sufficient to run her family.

She was trained in preparing nutrimix powder from Gandhigram rural Institutte in March 2010 and she wanted to have her own unit called NKV Nutrimix. We have also talked to local SHG members who gave their support to start up this Nutrimix unit. Hence Kosalai was supported financially to start her business and now she has her own NKV Nutrimix unit at Behamsahibapuram in Dindigul and she has been able to sell her product locally and also to others in Dindigul. Thanks for supporting for her livelihood and she has become a model women entrepreneue for other women in Dindigul.

Now she is preparing nutrimix in bulk. She provides her son good education and nutritive diet. Apart from selling, the family also takes the nutrimix powder and their health condition has improved. She confident that her son now has a bright future. She no longer feels that she is in a hopeless situation and looks forward to each new day
