Success Story

At present all the family members go for defecation in open fields, having no toilet in the house. In this remote area of Sambhar Block, Distt. - Jaipur, Rajasthan most of the families do not have toilets in their homes and use open fields. It is very humiliating for women and young girls as there is no privacy. They prefer to go either early morning or after dark. Due to this, stomach related infections are rampant in the area.

GCK visited the area and saw the miseries of the women and young girls and decided to construct Toilets for them. Our social workers advised them to give up the bad habit of defecation in open and how it effects the environment and spread disease.

After construction of toilets, all family members have left defecation in open fields. This also reduced the cases of diarrhea and other diseases. Now families are more aware about health and hygiene problems. They keep the house clean, spread lime etc to avoid the flies and mosquitoes.
