Success Story

Parivaar is developing a second campus only for girls. It shall be developed for a capacity of 500 girls. Parivaar is developing a second campus only for girls. It shall be developed for a capacity of 500 girls. We have purchased land of about 145,000 sq ft for development of Girls’ Residential Institution. The cost of land has been about Rs 60 Lacs (including taxes). Women Seva-vratis of Parivaar shall run this Girls Residential Campus on a day-to-basis. First Phase construction for 200 girl inmates (and about 20 other resident Seva-Vratis) has commenced from October 2008 and target date of completion is 30th November 2010.

The campus is being divided into two parts. First one would be exclusively for girl inmates and Parivaar women Seva-vratis. This is being called ‘The Inner Campus’. There shall be a second part which will be the Outside Arena for external interface and where some essential gent workers shall be accommodated (like a senior Parivaar Seva-vrati for guiding the sister-workers when such guidance is needed, staff for making purchases and doing external interface work, emergency personnel like maintenance workers, driver, master-cook etc. These personnel shall be restricted only to the Outside arena and shall not be allowed inside in general circumstances.

The girls admitted in Parivaar are from highly vulnerable and destitute backgrounds and this new Parivaar Ashram Girls Campus would be a big step in meeting the objective of Parivaar of a complete transformation of lives of girl children and through education paving of bright futures for them. The building given in this Donation Option would be one of the many buildings in this campus
