Success Story

Bhawan has intellectual disability and mild impact of cerebral palsy on his limbs. Bhawan has intellectual disability and mild impact of cerebral palsy on his limbs. When he came to Muskaan his attention capacity, communication, comprehension, sensory-motor coordination was low and had several behaviour difficulties. Currently he is learning vocational skills of stationary & food processing.

Intensive work was done with Bhawan in improving on his communication, cognitive skills, exercise of limbs, close communication with family to understand the source of behaviour difficulties. He was involved in sports, hobby building and several recreation and fun activities of Muskaan. All these interventions helped him in building self esteem and initiative for learning reducing behaviour difficulties.

There is a significant improvement in Bhawan in all the areas namely better motor skills, communication, comprehension, initiative for learning new things, more friendly with his peers. He got an award for best efforts in 2006. He is doing apprenticeship and next year he would be promoted to Work Centre and would earn a stipend for himself.
