Success Story

Smt. Bitana is a 67 year old widow and there is no one to support her. Smt. Bitana is a 67 year old widow and there is no one to support her. She does not live with her children, as they don’t want to spend a single penny for her. All the three sons are married and have left her all alone on the mercy of god. She is landless and poor and now suffering from several diseases of old age.

PACE organized a health Camp in the village and checkup of the community was done. During this activity we talked to the community in order to identify the neediest person for getting medical attention. Bitana was identified as the neediest old woman for medical attention. We took her to the government hospital and where she was diagnosed of chronic diseases like Asthma and Arthritis. Some medicines were prescribed by the hospital, which was provided by us. Besides this, we provided her the ration for approx three months. After that, we are in regular contact with her.

Bitana is much better now; her health has improved considerably. Her day to day needs are being fulfilled to some extent. She has high praise for PACE for the kind of support rendered to her. She has developed a sense of security. She is better now and out of misery.
