Success Story

Puja is 12 years old and lives with her parents. She left her schooling three years ago due to poverty. Puja is 12 years old and lives with her parents. She left her schooling three years ago due to poverty. She was very good at her studies and always wanted to pursue them further. Her father works in a nearby sugar factory. Her father is keen that at least one of his sons should have better prospects to support the family. Hence her father was not interested spending money for her education. She dropped out from school after Grade 3.

PACE runs a bridge course centre in the same village and she came in contact with the teacher Beena. Her teacher contacted PACE team and narrated her family condition. PACE team contacted her and were quite impressed with her willingness to continue her schooling. In the month February she was taken to a good school in the locality with the consent of her father .She appeared for the admission test and got selected for admission in the school in Grade 4.

Now she is pursuing her education and living a normal life away from all the problems she faced in her child hood in a boarding school supported by a Christian charity. She now wants to become a health worker and do something good for sick people as her grandfather died due to lack of treatment.
