Success Story

Taranuum is a seven year poor girl. She stays with her parents and younger brother at Mohidunpur, Taranuum is a seven year old girl. She stays with her parents and younger brother at Mohidunpur, a poor semi-urban village of Kishanganj town. Her father owns a small teashop in the area. Due to financial constraints he was unable to send Taranuum to school.

When Azad India Foundation started its non-formal education centre, Tarannum started attending classes regularly. Her keen interest in studies led AIF help her so that she can continue with her education .She was given admission in pre-primary

Due to generous and dedicated support from Mr Subha Chakraborty, Tarannum is in Grade 3 now. She loves to play chess and takes part in district chess championships. She also takes part in extra-curricular activities of the school.
