Success Story

Sarita is a 12 year old girl whose mother is unfortunately a commercial sex worker. Sarita is a 12 year old girl whose mother is unfortunately a commercial sex worker. Her mother and she were brought from the state of Assam. Her mother Sunita does not want her daughter to live at the brothel. Sunita wants her daughter to live a better life and want her to study.

PACE team members during their intervention of HIV/AIDS programme came across Sunita and she requested the team members to put her daughter in residential school in Lucknow. We enrolled her in residential bridge course for 6 months. After the completion of 6 months she had to be put in regular school. With the support of other institutions, she was enrolled in regular school.

Now she is perusing her education and living a normal life away from all the problems. She now wants to become a teacher and do something good for all the deprived children. Many lives can be saved and given positive direction if some support is provided on time.
