Pandiyarajan is 6 years old. He is affected by HIV/AIDS. Pandiyarajan is 6 years old. He is affected by HIV/AIDS. Pandiyarajan’s father has passed away. Pandiyarajan and his mother were left alone and were isolated from the community and they had to struggle a lot to maintain their family. EDUCATR interacted with this family.

EDUCATR got to know Pandiyarajan and his family through a social worker. EDUCATR decided to provide comprehensive support to them. Pandiyarajan is studying in 1st standard in a Panchayat union school in Usilampatti block. EDUCATR issued educational materials, food and necessary treatment for HIV/AIDS to them.

Pandiyarajan feels much better than earlier and they are able to manage the family expenses especially better treatment and education. Pandirajan’s mother is Self Help Group member and she was provided with income generation programmes and entrepreneurship programme. Our counselors also give counseling to them.
