Children used to come with their mothers to the adult literacy class organised by DRAG in Mohan Garden Children used to come with their mothers to the adult literacy class organised by DRAG in Mohan Garden. Mothers requested DRAG that since they were unable to afford private schools in the area, why could DRAG not open one for their children

DRAG’s balwadis provided such a school for them where they play, dance sing and laugh. Education is imparted only once they have become socialized. Play-way methods are used to get them interested. Alphabet, numerals and provision of other elementary education skills is imparted along with the above

For children (aged between 2-5) living in small hovels and migrant huts, the balwadi is a place where they begin to make friends. We have seen many children blooming, many friendships blossoming and the joy on the parents faces when they come to pick up their child or attend a parent-teachers meeting is wonderful to behold
