shoka, a mentally disabled child, hails from a remote village of Bangalore Urban district Ashoka, a mentally disabled child, hails from a remote village of Bangalore Urban district. His parents are working as farmers. They cannot afford to provide education to their child since there is no special school in their village

VEDS identified Ashoka, while surveying the mentally disabled children in our operation areas. We sent him for a medical assessment to NIMHANS, Bangalore. The report suggests that Ashoka can be educated. We admitted him into a Special School run by our organization which has the recognition of the Government of Karnataka

Ashok is provided with education hostel facilities and a vocational training which would help him to be a productive person for himself and his family
