Rajesh had AIDS. Rajesh died, leaving behind a wife, Shanthi, and three children. His relatives were busy preparing for his funeral Rajesh had AIDS. Things for last rites were bought and at this stage the news of his medical condition started spreading. Most of his close family members started to move away. Within some time there were only a few. No one was willing to come forward and lift the coffin. CSR staff supported

Apart from awareness creation, CSR realized the need for mainstreaming HIV/AIDS affected people among the community. 30 community leaders were selected. Trainings on basic facts, problems faced by PLHA and families and how they can contribute towards the welfare of their community were provided. This developed volunteerism and a village development association VDA , was formed which motivated them to contribute

VDA provides the platform to address the problems faced by PLHA. When Shanthi died the whole community attended her funeral; CSR staff was there just as spectators. One of the ladies who were involved in caring for Shanthi said, "We all are going to die one day. Shanthi is one among us. We will give her a descent burial". CSR is proud to say that among 53 villages 6 are stigma free
