Success Story

Bilwal Sunny Mukeshbhai is a resident of Mirakhedi in Zalod district Dahod. He was visually impaired by birth.

Bilwal Sunny Mukeshbhai is a resident of Mirakhedi in Zalod district Dahod. He was visually impaired by birth. He was living like a vegetable in his house doing nothing. His parents did not know what to do with him. Can a blind child learn anything? was their question.

In our Survey of the persons with disability we identified him and helped him in getting medical certificate. We then convinced the parents to admit him in a normal school called Vasti primary school in Grade 1. Our special teacher Mr Bharat Panchal started taking care for his education and special needs like braille language and arithmetic.
Today Sunny is studying in Grade 8 of Rashtriya Uttar Buniyadi Vidhyalaya Mirakhedi. He moves around and comes from home and goes back all alone. He has good orientation and mobility and is successfully going ahead in his studies in Braille. He also takes part in almost all extracurricular activities of the school.Of course we do the training on regular basis during their study and at home also.
