Pandi always ill treated his wife Pandi (40 yrs) is living in Karugapilai village. He always ill treated his wife. If his wife made any mistake he raised his hand on her. He did not treat her with respect and scolded and blamed her whenever he saw her

We organized gender sensitization training at the village & invited him to attend it. Role plays were enacted and participants who practiced gender equality shared their views and experiences. Inputs of the program strongly hit him & changed his attitude.

They share the domestic chores and he also consults before taking household decision. He addresses her with respect instead of scolding, beating and abusing her. He started sending his daughter to continue the schooling. Now he has become a role model in his street and his wife is very happy with this change.
