Success Story

The people living in the village use the open fields as their toilet. The people living in the village use the open fields as their toilet. Due to such unhygienic practices they, especially the children, constantly suffer from hookworm and diarrhea. Kanaga and her children Ramesh and Selvi in Kanoor are affected by this open toilet system and as they do not wear chapels due to their culture they are often affected by disease

SENSE gave them training in good hygiene habits and built them an individual toilet. We also gave them some cleaning materials and showed them how to maintain the toilet in a well manner

Now the family is happy to have their own toilet. The children are no longer falling ill and are attending school regularly
