Success Story

Kusum is a young girl with two sisters and a brother.

Kusum is a young girl with two sisters and a brother. She lives in a small village near Delhi, and has completed schooling in her village. However, she could not pursue a college course. Nevertheless, her parents encouraged her to study further. She wanted to learn computers but she came back disappointed as the course fee was too high for her poor parents.

Kusum had given up the idea of learning computers when she came to know of CSI?s course running in her locality. She got herself enrolled. The trainer in the class was from her own locality and explained things in a simple manner that was easy to understand. Kusum, not being fluent in English, was comfortable in these classes. Even her parents didnt object as the centre was in her village.
Kusum can now type letters, reports, and projects. She has applied for the post of ticketing clerk with the Railways and for a job in a Cooperative Bank. For both these posts, the knowledge of computers is necessary. Kusum now motivates other girls in the village to join this training course.
