Her parents noticed delay in physical development and took her to the hospital. Due to lack of awareness and poor economical status of the family, they could not continue rehabilitation. Her condition became worse. Her legs were twisted. She cannot sit , hold things nor express her needs since she is not able to talk

JK MAASS Foundation field staff identified Sangeetha in a survey. Her parents were advised to bring her to the Special School “Able Kids” run by the foundation.Sangeetha was given physiotherapy, speech therapy, kneeling exercises to strengthen her muscles. She was trained by a special educator to do daily activities and identify things around her

Sangeetha, after availing the rehabilitation services is able to sit aright. Her legs are straightened. She is able to express her needs in short words or by action, hold things, eat on her own, identify colors, fruits, vegetables etc. She can lead an independent life with continuous rehabilitation service
