Sponsor occupational therapy for differently abled children and adults for 1 week-Madhya Pradesh Viklang Sahayta Samiti
Sponsor occupational therapy for differently abled children and adults for 1 week, INR 5500

Madhya Pradesh Vikalang Sahayta Samiti provides special education to developmentally disabled children and adults.

The Basics

Many differently-abled people with developmental disabilities have cerebral palsy and other locomotor issues, neuro-muscular problems, ADHD, multi-sensory impairments, fine motor movements, autism, learning disability etc. They all need regular occupational therapy. The special school run by the organization has an occupational therapy department so that these problems can be attended to under one roof.

How It Works

• These therapy sessions are attended by children going to the school along with other patients use these services under OPD.
• Due to economic constraints many parents do not bring their children for therapy though they may have a risk of disability.
• There are many cases where the child’s disability can be cured or minimized if therapy is started at the right time.

Where there is a will, there is a way!!!
Monu was brought to the center as an orphan when he was approximately 3 years of age. He was a child with multiple disability which included mental retardation, diaplegic loco motor disability, visual impairment and also lack of speech. Even he was unable to sit without support. He had very poor health and had skin disease also.
First of all he was given medicinal intervention to cure his skin disease and improve his general health. His physiotherapy and occupational therapy were started to improve his loco motor condition. Special training was started for developing his skills in self care, social behaviour, communication and cognitive areas.
He is now independent in activities of daily living, moving through out the center independently by crawling, understands the communication, follows all instructions. He recognizes the environment and people, his social behaviour has improved and became appropriate. He is learning further age appropriate skills. In spite of being severely disabled he now participates in sports and cultural activities and has won prizes and medals.
