Overview

Social Action for Manpower (SAMPARC) runs a Home at Jodhpur, which is mainly for children of stone quarry workers apart from destitute children and poor children with difficult living conditions.

How It Works

• The Home has accommodation facilities for a number of children. It has four big halls, open balconies, a study room, a big dining room and kitchen.
• The centre has provisions for individual beds and closets for the children.
• Two television sets, a water purifier, a refrigerator, washing machine, and geyser are also installed at the centre.
• Children can play outdoor games like cricket, football, volley ball, badminton and indoor games like carrom at the centre.

Shrawan Ram Choudhary
Shrawan is 13 years old boy. He lost his father when he was very young. His mother was working as a cook in a school for mid-day meal under a contractor. They do not have their own house, so they live in their relatives house, The economic condition is very poor.
Once he joined SAMPARC Balgram, Jodhpur, he received proper care, shelter, family environment, guidance and training in education.
Since he joined SAMPARC there is lot of improvement in his studies. In Grade 8 he stood 2nd in class and he received a Tablet PC as per the Rajasthan Government Scheme. In Grade 9 he stood 1st in class. At present he is preparing for the Grade 10 board exams. He is also receiving special tuition classes.
