" Overview

Vidya Poshak is a registered Non Government Organization (NGO), serving education community. The organization was started by a group of compassionate people in the year 2001 at Dharwad with the aim of supporting financially challenged bright students.

The Basics

Students belonging to economically disadvantaged families end up severely limiting their educational and career horizons due to lack of financial resources, proper educational guidance and materials (like books), and skills required to succeed. Vidya Poshak is trying to address this issue with its signature programme Nurture Merit, wherein bright students from economically challenged families are inducted post Grade 10 and supported through college scholarships, books and training to pursue higher education.
