The vocational training in tailoring is given to the school dropout youth and women above age of 18 years. The training is for a period of three months and after completion of the training, the students are placed in the entry level job. The basic activity of the program is to mobilise youth from slums and remote rural areas, give them training and finally place them in the industry as it is the key task of the vocational training. To run this program, training centre is located very close to slums are rented and machines, equipment have been installed there. 3 batches are run with 30 students each. Mass campaign takes place periodically to mobilise the target groups and vocational training is given using modules by the regular faculty members. People from industry are also engaged in the trainings and on the job training is given at the industry itself. Total 300 hours training is imparted. Every quarter approximately 300 trainees pass out in tailoring and solar energy training.

Shaheena
Shaheena Baig is 20 Years Old. Her father is wall painter and earns an irregular income of Rs 3000 per month Her mother also supports the family income by kite making, but the earning is merely Rs 800 per month and this also is seasonal.
Shaheena has completed Grade XII and wanted to pursue her education. Vatsalya team counselled her family and suggested that she undergoes training in one of the centres run at Ramganj. She joined Information Technology Education Services (ITES) and completed her 3 months training. During the course she learnt personality development and English speaking and our staff got a job for her.
After completing the course she joined The 108 Ambulance as a Tele caller Officer. She is earning Rs 8000 per month and is very happy with her life. Her aims are still higher in life.
