Success Story

Karthik lives with his parents and is the first of three children. Karthik is keen in sports, but never got to play through school as a result of being disabled. Bobby, staff, got a call from a partner centre asking if we could take one more child. I learned of Karthik who loved football kept asking to join. I was also told that he didn?t have his left hand.?

A lot of thoughts ran across Bobby?s mind: whether the group will accept him? Will it affect his confidence level? But the next moment he thought it will be a great, increase his confidence and at the same time the other members of the group will also develop the skill of acceptance. Bobby made his mind: "I want Karthik in the Football Program."

During his first 6 months of training Karthik proved himself beyond our hopes - he has developed skills incredibly quickly and is exhibiting very high confidence...in fact, he has already become one of the strongest players in the group! What more can we ask for as people working among the children to empower them?
