 Youth Revolution in Computer Training
Sushma Kumari 18 resides in Patna. Her father Ashok Sharma is a carpenter and gets a very poor income by this work. He faces many problems for maintaining his family with his little income. Sushma always wanted to earn a little so that she could also support her family. She also had no technical qualification and having no exposure to skill, did not get a job. Our survey team with volunteers, when visited the house of Sushma, explained the Computer literacy programme for poor youth conducted by the organization and convinced her to join this course Now Sushma has successfully completed the course which she joined in April and looking for a good job. . ADD wishes her a very successful future and Sushma is heartily thankful to ADD.

 Curse of old age
Sarsawati Devi, 72 years old, who belongs to the most backward locality residing in Sampatchak, Patna is a burning example of the victims of poverty. With one hand and leg paralyzed, she is blessed with 4 sons namely but all of no use as none of them is even little bit worried for the poor old lady who is physically unable to do any work for earning her livelihood. Perhaps she must be alone and helpless in these days. When ADD noticed this poor old mother Sarsawati Devi it provided her with one month food rations( 4.5 kg Rice, 6 kg wheat, 2 kg pulses, 1 kg mustard Oil , 1 kg salt) along with 1 egg and 250gm milk every day for a month under nutrition supports . It also made her available clothes (sari, blouse, towel, bed cover and two times medical checkup with medicine support under Support for poor old person programme for a month. Sarsawati Devi leads a happy life now and is grateful to ADD for saving him from a cursed existence.

 She saw no hope
24 years old lady Minta Devi belongs to the most poor, backward and untouchable cast named Mushar. She leads a hard life of deprivation and utter poverty and she recently gave birth to a daughter on 18th Dec. 2009 whose proper nurture and nourishment was a great matter of worry for the poor lady. In fact she already had two sons who also cannot be discarded. Her husband, Vijay Manjhi is fond of drinking and practicing other narcotics. He didnt have even a little bit interest in any of the family matters. Under such critical situations, thinking of giving proper nurture and care to the newly born baby was perhaps a hard task for the struggling lady. Fortunately ADD team learnt about her plight. We counselled her and registered her for our Mother & Child programme. Now Minta Devi is extremely glad and is nurturing her baby princess with all required care and comforts. She heartily salutes the noble attitude of ADD for giving maternal help to all such poor little babies and their mothers and ADD too wishes her a good life.

Help create a future for a handicapped person
Bhim Kumar, 26 years from P.S - Gopalpur, Patna had his both the legs attacked by Polio at an early age of two years. Despite being disabled, he continued his studies and completed from Bihar School Examination Board in 1984 but could not proceed to his further studies due to his poor financial condition. He used to make a little pocket-money by giving tuition to children of the village. He could have supported his family and also have leaded his life in a better way if he had a tricycle because it would be saving both his time and labor. His father, Brahm Deo who was a poor tailor who had not got that much earning to afford one to his son. ADD Team members indentified him as person living with a disability. We provided him with a tricycle Now Bhim Kumar is giving tuition children of the village going door to door. The tricycle gave him a great relief and also it slightly increased his earning which helped him in completing his further higher studies. He is thankful to ADD.

 The right to live
Priti Kumari, 16 years, resident of Purbi Indira Nagar, Patna is a pity girl of ill fate. Her father named Prasad was a notorious drinker who often used to beat badly his wife. One day, he abandoned his wife and daughter in a desert. After being left helpless by her husband, Priti and her mother adopted the work of maid servant which remained the only source of income. As priti was completely illiterate, she was not able to get a job. Fortunately ADD team could learn about her fate and advised her mother to get Priti enrolled in Tailoring and Embroidery Course under three months vocational training programme in ADD Vocational Centre. The topics covered under embroidery are the clothes printing, painting, carvings etc. Now Priti successfully completed her course in and opened a tailoring shop. She has borrowed a machine from one of her relatives but she has planned to buy one of her own in coming days. She is now very happy with mother. She is a beginner and so she manages to earn about 1500 per month on an average.

Child education and health- a revolution
There is awareness for education in people as will appear incase of Arti Kumari from an extremely backward village of illiterates, situated in the Sampatchak block of Patna district. An unfortunate Arti Kumari, age 10 years was cursed; due to death of her father (Late Shailendra Prasad) at early stage in 2007 a road accident. Consequently the whole burden fell upon her widow mother (Manju Devi) and a minor brother. Mother was any how managing the house with a meager income she earned with the art of tailoring in village Manoharpur Kachhuara. Fortunately ADD team could learn about her fate and advised her mother to get Arti kumari admitted in school for proper education and better future, to which her mother agreed. Now Arti is regularly schooling in grade III and successfully getting education under ADD programme Educational and health care support for a poor and neglected child (06 - 14 years) programme. She is now grateful for the good work of donation by ADD.

 I too want to study
Shushma Kumari, 16 year belongs to an extremely poor village Shigriyama, P.S - Sajahapur, Patna. Her father is a Carpenter and due to lack of resources is living in a rented house. Her family is a big nine member family. She has 7 brothers and a sister and one brother is dumb and Sushma was the most intelligent and determined towards her studies. This can be very well understood that she daily used to cover 5 km up and down journey to school on her foot. Currently she is in grade 11 at Shri Raghunath Balika Uchh Vidyalaya, Kankarbagh Patna and she wishes to continue up her studies neglecting the very long challenging 5 kilometers way that she daily uses to cover on her foot When ADD fortunately came to know about the poor girl, it provided her with a new Avon bicycle (bicycle no.10B.701689) under its Bicycle Support For Poor School-going Girls program. With this kind support she is now attending her school regularly without any delay. ADD wishes her a very successful bright future.
