Rinki Kumari, 21 years old and resident of Deodha Village, District – Patna. She studied till Grade X and was married to a general shop staff having a meager income. Rinki is very eager to educate her children and also help her husband in running her family but due to lack of proper qualification she had not been able to get any job. Day-by-day Rinki was getting disappointed due to her helplessness in accompanying her husband. Now Rinki has successfully completed the course and she is looking for suitable job in the I.T Sector. ADD wishes her good luck in having good opportunities and a smooth happy life in future.
 Curse of old age
Jira Devi w/o Late Manglu Paswan, village - Butai Tola, post – Manoharpur Kachhuara, Distt.- Patnawith is 82 years old. Her son has no worry for his old physically disabled mother who has hunched back and unable to do any hard work for earning livelihood. Her husband unfortunately could not earn due to old age. Jira Devi was really helpless and needed some immediate help. ADD heard about poor Jira Devi through some social workers and it provided Jira Devi with one month nutrition support in the form of rations (5 kilos Rice, 6 kg wheat, 2 kg pulses, 1 kg mustard Oil, 1 kg salt) along with ½ .kg horlicks and 250gm milk every day for a month under nutrition support. It also gave her clothes (2 sarees, petticoat, blouse, towel, bed cover & mosquito net). We also arranged medical checkup with medicine given freely. Jira Devi is happy now and is grateful to ADD for helping her.
 She saw no hope
Ranju Devi, 22 years old lives in an extremely unhygienic locality of Manoharpur Kachhuara village, District - Patna. She gave birth to a son in the last week of December 2012 and she was not in a position to bear the necessities like fee of frequent visits to doctor, baby food and balance diet needed to be given to the nursing mother. Her husband Amar Nath Manjhi sells vegetables. He also spends a part of his meager income on alcohol. The locality where Ranju was residing was not clean. This was likely to give rise of many infectious diseases like dysentery, malaria, jaundice etc. ADD came to know about the poor condition of the lady, it decided to help her in all possible ways. We registered her in our program to help pregnant mothers. We immediately gave the benefits to the mother and the child and the facilities which were pre-decided to be given to her under the program for pre-set period of three months(Jan- Mar 2013). Now Ranju Devi is extremely glad and is able to nurse her child . She heartily is pleased by the maternal help to her baby.
Help create a future for a handicapped person
Rekha Kumari, 19 years old and a poor harijan girl from Bhelwara ( Mushahri ), Post- Mitanchak, P.S – Gopalpur, District.- Patna. She has lost both legs since she was born ( Disability 80%). Despite of her disability anyhow she managed to continue her studies up to IV Grade. She was unable to continue up her studies as the school for higher studies was not in her village and Rekha herself couldn’t daily cover the long distance due to her disability. So here she was in need of a tricycle which could help her to continue her studies. Her father Ramanuj Das had been working as a labourer whose earning was not enough to afford a tricycle for daughter. ADD Team members noticed poor Rekha Kumari and her disability through one of its volunteers. Realizing her condition and the demand of the situation it provided her a new tricycle on 26th January 2013 so that she could now continue up with her studies. With this support Rekha is now very happy. ADD team wishes a successful life for Rekha Kumari.
 The right to live
The story of 25 year poor harijan women named Arti Devi from Manoharpur Kachhuara (Mushahri Tola) village, District- Patna is heart breaking. Her husband Manish Manjhi is an agricultural labour having meagre income and so he faces extreme hardship in maintaining even his family daily house -hold expenses and the essential beeds. At this critical juncture Arti started searching for some sort of work that could yield her little money but unluckily she failed in having any as she lacked technical qualifications or any skill. It disapppointed her determination to give shoulder to her husband. Luckily she was noticed by one by one of the ADD representatives. So after knowing all about her ADD decided to help her in every possible ways and then our team interacted with her and explained to her about the tailoring program. ADD invited her to participate in it and she joined the course in the month of January 2013 and during these three months. She learned tailoring and embroidery work of various under garments, saris, blouse, suits of various trends, tops and fashionable frocks. Arti has now successfully completed her course in Tailoring and Embroidery under three months vocational training programme. She is now proud of herself in supporting her family and so she is a happy person now. She is handling stitching and embroidery related jobs.

 I too want to study
Nitu Kumari, 12, is a poor Harijan girl belonging to an extremely poor Backward village of Beaur, Mushahri Tola, Block- Phulwarisharif, District.- Patna. Nitu is a meritorious and hard working girl. Her father Prabhu Manjhi is a laborer and getting a very poor income with which he had been managing the house-hold expenses of his 6 members family. The problem for Nitu was the long distance of her school from her home which was about 6 Kms, up and down. Amazingly the girl used to walk this long distance daily which just showed her great dedication towards her studies. Her dad was feeling helpless in not able to provide Nitu a new bicycle so that she could go to her school with comfort and of course on time. ADD fortunately came to know about the poor girl through its sources. It provided her with a new Avon bicycle (bicycle’s chassis no.12C.034420) under its bicycle program for girl students. With this support now Nitu is attending her school and getting coaching regularly. ADD wishes the girl a bright future and to stand against every obstacle in the path of her education.
