 Story of Shanjay
Shanjay was residing in the slum area of Ajmer City. 2 years back both his parents died of AIDS. Shanjay started living with one of his paternal uncle. Six months later he developed severe skin disease because of HIV infection. The other children in the family and neighborhood started maintaining distance from him. When a member of our network came to know about the condition of Shanjay, she suggested transferring him to our care home. He was admitted to our care home - Aashray at Karni Sthal Colony, R.K.Puram, Heerapura, Jaipur & started the treatment of his skin disease. After 3 months his skin illness was cured & he joined regular school. Now, other children of the care home play with him. His uncle visits him at the care home.

Sanjay was residing in the slum area of Ajmer City. Two years ago both his parents died of AIDS. Sanjay started living with his paternal uncle. Six months later he developed severe skin disease because of an HIV infection. The other children in the family and neighborhood started shunning him. When a member of our network came to know about his condition, she suggested transferring him to our care home Aashray at Karni Sthal Colony, R.K.Puram, Heerapura, Jaipur. He was admitted and we started his treatment immediately. After 3 months his skin illness was cured. We enrolled him iinto a formal school as well. Sanjay is happy now. He is amongst other children with similar backgrounds and the same illness who do not shun him or find him different. His uncle visits him at the care home.
