Background
A few like minded people willing to contribute their time, resources and emotion to the weaker section of the society, have managed to form an organization named Towards Future.

Supriya Roy Chowdhury and some of her like minded friends decided to do something good for the society and formed Towards Future in 2008. Before Towards Future's registration Supriya worked in different NGO s for 13 years and has noticed that poor children are not receiving quality education. So the team of Towards Future decided to start their activities with child education which started with eight children at Kalyani center. Later on corporate house like Wipro cares, Acclaris Business Solutions Pvt Ltd and some generous donors came forward to assist Towards Future which makes the job of TF team smooth and ease. During her working period with other organizations, Supriya experienced in the field of child education, so she feels to contribute in this sector. Supriya also worked in the field of women rights issues, so later on Supriya introduced project on women rights in TF.

Providing nutritional help makes a child healthy.
Paruli is 4 years old and her parents work in Kashinapur brickfield. Paruli has a little sister who is six months old. Her parents go to work early in the morning when Paruli was used to sleep. They come back at noon and go again in the afternoon. Paruli was alone in the morning and had used to cry throughout the day. She became very nagging, did not want to mix with the other children that forced her mother to take her with them. But the environment of the brick kiln was not healthy for Paruli and she fell sick very quickly. Our social worker identified Paruli during their field visit and met the family. She was also then expecting another child. We suggested Paruli be dropped in our day care center in the morning which is absolutely free. We also informed that in this center Paruli can get elementary education in play way method, would also receive health support and would get Tiffin every day. Her mother agreed with us and started to send her child in our center. Now Paruli is a happy child. She learnt alphabets both in Bengali & English, can identify numbers. She learnt Bengali & English rhymes. She is very intelligent and likes to make friends. She is a lovable child and her friends like her.

A second chance can bring a change a life of a poor child
Piyali Das is a girl of 12 years. She has two more sisters and one brother. Her father is a van puller and her mother works as a domestic helper. Her parents earn very little which is not sufficient to meet family requirements. In this situation to provide support for their children’s education was seems to be a luxurious things to do. So her mother was used to take the elder girls with her to help in domestic work. Piyali was used to do the household work in absence of her mother. She dropped her education in Grade 4, as she could not understand the lesson taught in her class. Her parents and other siblings were not been able to help her in this matter When our social worker got this information, she met Piyali and her mother. She spoke about our center and requested her mother to send Piyali in our center which starts at 2.30 pm and continues till 5 pm. Piyali can attend our center after doing all the household work what was important for her mother. Her mother agreed with us and started to send Piyali in our center. When Piyali came first to our center, she did not know to identify the alphabets. Now she can write her name, she can read small & simple sentences. She also learnt addition and subtraction; small & simple English word, table from 1 to 10. The most important news is that Piyali readmitted in formal school in grade 3 and this year she got promotion to grade 4. In spite of going in formal school her parents want her to continue in our center, because it helps Piyali to get into school again and she also receives back up support for her regular lesion.
